Ms Brunhilde Schram has been running the consultancy firm ECCOSstandards & More KG for 20 years. She has helped establish several organisations, both in the NGO sector and in the business world, as well as research and development projects in collaboration with the international academic community and the international certification body Quality Austria, which has developed the Business Excellence Certificate to provide evidence of sustainability programmes for future viability. She studied Economics, Psychology and General Management in Salzburg, Krems and at the Open University, London (with a consistent focus on internationalisation). She was awarded an honorary doctorate in recognition of her expertise in the field of ‘Recognition of outstanding & exemplary contribution towards Sustainable Business Development’.
She has received awards for her work in the fields of social, economic and education policy, as well as honours for outstanding achievements in adult education, and was presented with the Badge of Honour by her home town in recognition of her exceptional socio-political commitment. She was also awarded the “Best of Business” prize for outstanding contributions to the economy. As a federal and state spokesperson for CSR, she has been actively involved in numerous economic policy issues for many years. During this period, she also served as a representative in Brussels, focusing on the “Sustainability of SMEs in a globalised world.”
In her private life, she has been married for many years and has two adult sons. In her spare time, sporting activities and travel take top priority. Secondly, she is actively involved as a mentor and supporter for people with difficult life stories! Down-to-earthness, fairness and a pioneering spirit are the guiding principles behind her actions.
