DI Nadherny-Borutin is the founder of nachgedacht e.U. and enthusiastically advises leading organisations in the fields of environmental technology, sustainability, the circular economy and marketing. Her career began with a degree in Food and Biotechnology at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, specialising in waste management and environmental technology.
This was followed by a variety of roles in research and development (industry and the waste management sector), business start-ups (setting up an environmental analysis laboratory), and various management positions (in retail, the waste management sector and the temporary employment sector). Today, she is also active as Secretary General of PlasticsEurope Austria, Chairwoman of the Austrian Packaging Institute, a board member of the Austrian Research Institute (OFI) and the Austrian Water and Waste Association (ÖWAV), as well as a lecturer. Her commitment to quality and excellence is also evident in her professional development: in 2021, she completed the prestigious ‘Governance Excellence for Female Supervisory Board Members’ programme at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
