DI Agnes Steinberger, MSc, gained valuable professional experience as a quality manager in the international food industry in Austria and Canada, and completed her degree in food technology at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna. Further training in management systems, which she undertook whilst still a student, sharpened her eye for the bigger picture. She works as a network partner for Quality Austria Certification GmbH, acting as a lead auditor for the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ONR 192500 management systems. She is also an accredited eccos22® assessor in the CSR sector. With her in-depth knowledge of EFQM, she worked as an EFQM assessor for more than 8 years. For the past 3 years, Ms Steinberger-Sendlhofer has been working in the private sector again as Regional Head of Central QM for an international food industry group. Prior to this, she worked for almost 10 years as a freelance CSR Product Manager and Lead Auditor/Trainer for Quality Austria. In her private life, she runs a small mountain farm in the Salzburg region with her family, which offers her a daily ‘hands-on experience of sustainability and future viability’.
